I got it in the mail yesterday. The hottest ticket in America – an invitation to the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting. I would give my pinky finger to be able to go, but it looks like it’s not going to pan out this year. Hopefully I can do it next year. The report I received in the mail yesterday mentioned both Warren and Charlie Munger have received $100,000 salaries the last 25 years and they don’t expect this fee to increase in the future. Additionally, the company doesn’t pay for any of their office supplies. In college Warren spoke with us. He drank his Cherry Coke and played his ukulele. What a privilege to be in the same room with this guy. Everyone knows of his frugality, but it’s my opinion that Warren epitomizes the following characteristics: honesty, loyalty, humility and patience. I would trust this guy with anything, and believe that’s why Warren is the King of all startups. The annual meeting has a cult-like following. Perhaps all the annual meeting attendees are hoping some of Warren’s excess qualities will rub off on them as well.
